….sadness and sorrow

Good-night! good-night! as we so oft have said
Beneath this roof at midnight, in the days
That are no more, and shall no more return.
Thou hast but taken up thy lamp and gone to bed;
I stay a little longer, as one stays
To cover up the embers that still burn.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Mia called earlier this afternoon….

And as I told Mia her I really didn’t have the words to express my deepest sorrow. All I could do was cry with her and wish I could give her a hug. Mia’s mom slipped away to her next journey in life around 4 this afternoon. She was surrounded by the ones that she loved, something I think all of us hope for when that day comes.

Mia just wanted me to let you all know.

Death is a stage where one exists in others memories.
